Questions people ask before they start
Who is this actually for?
Adults in Dubai who want to lose weight with medical supervision and are willing to change how they eat while they do it. If you are after a prescription without a consultation, or you want the injection to do all of the work on its own, this is not the right practice for you.
How is this different from getting Mounjaro somewhere else?
Two things. Nothing is prescribed until your kidney function, liver function, testosterone and thyroid have been checked, and your dose is set for you personally then ramped up slowly rather than started at a standard level. Most of the bad experiences people have with these drugs come from skipping both.
What actually happens, step by step?
A free ten to fifteen minute consultation on telehealth, then a home visit for your weight, height, body composition, blood test and thyroid ultrasound. Once the results are back a physician sets your starting dose and adjusts it as you go.
Is it safe, and what about the nausea people talk about?
Severe nausea and vomiting usually mean the dose was too high too early, which is exactly what microdosing is designed to avoid. Everything is prescription-only and supervised by a physician, and the screening before you start exists to catch the reasons somebody should not be on these drugs at all. Bring your history and any medication you already take to the consultation.
What if I am already on Mounjaro or Ozempic?
Bring it to the consultation. The screening still tells you what your body is doing on the current dose, and the medical team can review whether the dose and the plan you are on are the right ones to continue with.
Who does the prescribing?
A Vero physician. Vero Home Health Care Centre is a DHA-licensed medical practice operating under licence 2014053, and the weight-loss programmes are supervised end to end by its doctors.
What does it cost?
The first consultation is free. Programmes generally run between AED 3,000 and AED 4,500 a month depending on what you are prescribed, and often less in the later months. The screening is charged separately: around AED 1,000 for the blood panel, repeated roughly every three months, and around AED 1,000 for the thyroid ultrasound as a one-off. Your exact numbers are confirmed on the consultation.
Do you bill my insurance directly?
No. Payment is made directly and you receive a receipt you can submit to your insurer yourself. It is worth knowing before you book, which is why the form asks.
What happens after I send the form?
The medical team contacts you to arrange the free consultation and answer anything outstanding. Nobody calls to sell you a programme, and you decide whether to go ahead after you have spoken to them.
